Grandma’s Shortbread Cookies
1/2 cup icing sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (= 1 1/2 sticks, no margarine or substitute)
- Sift together corn starch, icing sugar and flour.
- Blend in butter with a wooden spoon (or your hands) until a soft, smooth dough forms.
- Shape into 1 inch balls.
- Squish with a fork.
- Add half a pecan for garnish.
