Kalika’s Cocoa Cookies


Kalika Bowlby was  a KSA clay student who went on to finish her Bachelor in Fine Arts in Edmonton.  Kalika now has her own studio here in Nelson and here are her delicious, nutritious cookies on her own beautiful pottery plate.

Kalika’s Cookies

1 c. honey

1/2 c cocoa

1/4 c milk (cow, almond, soy or rice)

1/4 c butter

3 c rolled oats

1/2 c almond or peanut butter

1/2 c whole almonds

2 tsp vanilla

In a pot on the stove top cook honey, cocoa, milk and butter over medium heat until mixtue boils.  Stir constantly for two minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in nut butter, vanilla, rolled oats and almonds.  Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.

Cool and enjoy.
